Representative Transactions

Below we list some of the most significant real estate, M&A and finance transactions in which the lawyers at our firm took part as legal advisor between 2006 and 2009:

  • advising and preparing documentation on the borrower’s side for the purchase of the TAVERNA portfolio, consisting of 32 Budapest restaurants and six Budapest hotels, and their partial on-lease to hotel chain ACCOR PANNÓNIA; the value of the transaction was more than 60 million Euros;
  • advising AIRPORT CENTER FERIHEGY ZRT. and preparing the related transaction documentation on the buyer’s/borrower’s side in the purchase of a 150 hectare area from approximately 800 private individual sellers, as well as acquisition finance advice, in which the lender was CIB BANK;
  • advising the buyer/borrower and related document preparation in connection with the sale of Birdland Hotel**** SPA & Golfklub, in which the lender was CIB BANK; the value of the transaction was more than 40 million Euros;
  • advising the buyer/borrower and related document preparation in the sale of the Pollack Square underground parking garage located behind the National Museum in Budapest, in which the lender was ERSTE BANK;
  • advising the buyer/borrower and related document preparation in the sale of the Csillagvár Shopping Center in Budapest, in which the lender was CIB BANK;
  • advising an Irish-Hungarian investor consortium on the buyer/borrower side in the sale of WI-GO office building in Budapest, in which the lenders were MKB BANK and CIB BANK;
  • advising an Irish-Hungarian investor consortium on the buyer/borrower side in the sale of an office building located in the banking district of Budapest, in which the lenders were ERSTE BANK and MKB BANK;
  • advising an Irish-Hungarian investor consortium on the buyer/borrower side in the sale of an office building located next to the Four Seasons Hotel in Budapest;
  • advising an Irish-Hungarian investor consortium on the buyer/borrower side in the sale of an office building located at Frangepán utca in Budapest, and its later lease to Kodolányi János College, in which the lender was CIB BANK;
  • advising a Hungarian investor group on the buyer/borrower side in the sale of a logistics park in Pest County and its later resale, in which the lender was MKB BANK;
  • advising an Irish-Hungarian investor consortium on the buyer/borrower side in the sale of the Átrium House office building in Budapest, in which the lender was ERSTE BANK; and
  • advising a Hungarian investor group in the sale of a 20 hectare area located in the third district of Budapest at Északi Városkapu, from approximately 170 private individual sellers.

In addition to the above, the firm’s attorneys provide legal advice on a regular basis with regard to the following clients with respect to the following matters:

  • advising one of the largest Hungarian hypermarket chains in the expansion and maintenance of its real estate portfolio, including stores and properties in Debrecen, Szolnok, Miskolc, Fót, Zalaegerszeg, Pécs, Kecskemét, Szeged, Békéscsaba and Nyíregyháza;
  • advising in connection with the maintenance of a Budapest office building with an area of more than 10,000 square meters, including overseeing the preparation and negotiation of lease and operation agreements on the lessor’s side;
  • advising one of the leading Hungarian sports product distributors in real estate and commercial law matters;
  • longtime representation of public company Electro-Coord Hungary – an industry leading public utility company specializing in the collection, utilization and disposal of electronic waste; and
  • advising a French architectural consulting firm in connection with the construction of Budapest’s fourth metro line.
